Sinopsis
The emperor of the Central Plains has been missing for several months. Li Mao, a general of the Imperial Guard, and Wei Xian, a court advisor, are secretly dispatched by the Empress Dowager to search for the emperor. Along the way, they encounter Zong Sheng, a martial arts prodigy who turns into a child when he cries; Fan Tian, a teenager with partial amnesia; and Gong Liangzhen, a kind and resilient young Taoist nun suffering from a leg ailment.
