[Spoiler] Peter Jürgens was a sexual offender and a research subject of Dr. Rudy Gillen during the length of the series. His testimonies to Dr. Gillen proved Johan Liebert's existence as well as his notoriety. He commited suicide after seeing a picture of Johan that Dr. Gillen acquired from Dr. Reichwein. [/Spoiler]
