Asumi Suidou is a supporting character in the original anime Tokyo 24-ku. She is the daughter of the influential Suidou family, specifically the late governor Suidou Gouri, whose political vision and ethics play a central role in the conflict of the story.

Asumi is central to the inciting incident of the series — a tragic fire accident at a school that results in her death. However, her presence continues to influence the story posthumously. One year after the accident, her childhood friends Shuta, Ran, and Kouki begin receiving mysterious phone calls that appear to be from Asumi herself, urging them to make difficult moral decisions involving the future of the 24th Ward.
