Mamezuku, Rai

An eccentric man whose existence is only known by a scarce number of people. He dislikes being referred to as Rei since it’s a misreading of his actual name.

[Spoiler] Rai is the personal, secret plant appraiser of the Higashikata family, unbeknownst to everyone except for Norisuke. He has extensive knowledge of horticulture, hailing from a long line of farmers who have cultivated fruit.

Josuke seeks out Rai’s help and expertise regarding the Locacaca fruit. Rai then joins Josuke to find the head doctor of TG University Hospital. [/Spoiler]

Despite Rai’s talent and capabilities, his blunt, borderline rude demeanor often makes him a difficult person to get along with. Rai is a man of business and solitude, claiming a ski lift as his home when it’s not in use. He has a tendency to belittle Yasuho especially, much to her dismay, and prioritizes his own safety during battle, having no qualms about putting others in harm’s way. Nevertheless, Rai proves himself to be a reliable and capable ally, fighting alongside Josuke.

[Spoiler] Rai eventually learns that Akefu Satoru, or more precisely Wonder of U, is the reason his father and his family’s livelihood perished. This inspires Rai to seek revenge and directly attack Wonder of U. [/Spoiler]

[Spoiler] Rai is a Stand user who possesses Doggy Style (ドギー・スタイル). Doggy Style allows Rai to unfurl or "peel" his own body into ribbon-like strips. Funnily enough, Doggy Style's head also looks like a dog's. [/Spoiler]
