[Spoiler] Yamato is the daughter of Kaidou of the Four Emperors. Despite Kaidou's attempts at making Yamato his heir, she instead developed a profound admiration for the Wano samurai Kozuki Oden. After Oden's death, Yamato assumed his name and mannerisms.
