Alexander Boneparte Cust is his full name. A door to door stocking salesman.

[Spoiler] He was set up by Franklin Clarke to take the fall for his murders, before the murders were even committed. [/Spoiler]

Changes from book:

[Spoiler] In the book he suffers from migraines and has periods where he blacks out, which leads him to believe that he really is the murderer. He even admits he did the killings when interviewed by Poirot. Main clues that were left out of the anime: The alibi he had for the second murder: He was playing dominoes with someone. He bumped into Clarke coming out of the theatre. He admits that he enjoyed the war as he had a sense of purpose. [/Spoiler]
