One of the 1711 immortals. He studied together under the same alchemy teacher as Fermet. In the 1930's Begg works for the Runorata Family. Begg spends his time trying to create the perfect drug to bring people "happiness."
[Spoiler] In 2002, Maiza visits him in a New Jersey hospital and finds him barely responsive to his environment, his mind seemingly permanently addled by drug use. [/Spoiler]
