Biografía

Kind, affable, and honest, Otoya's smile shines like the sun and brightens the lives of everyone around him. He has loved singing since he was a child and always aspired to become an idol. He is energetic and active, and often acts on impulse. He is a natural athlete, making him an especially skilled dancer.

Haruka's classmate in A Class. He shares a room with Tokiya from Class S.

[Spoiler] He enters the Academy partly because "singing seemed fun and interesting" but after meeting Haruka & hearing one of her songs, he falls in love with her caring, hard-working and "never-give-up" personality and starts to pursue becoming an idol seriously.

He is somewhat intimidated by Ichinose since the beginning because of his "perfect singing". [/Spoiler]

[Spoiler] In the game, he is the one with acrophobia (fear for heights), unlike in the anime, where Kurusu Syo is the one afflicted. [/Spoiler]

[Spoiler] Fifteen years ago, his mother died in a plane crash, resulting in him having to be brought in at an orphanage. [/Spoiler]

[Spoiler] In the game, it is revealed that Shining Saotome is in fact Otoya's real father. [/Spoiler]

[Spoiler] Furthermore, it is later revealed and Otoya and Aijima Cecil are half-brothers, the two born from the same mother, but different fathers. [/Spoiler]
