Ereshkigal

Biografía

Ereshkigal is the Goddess of the Underworld in Sumerian myth. She freely wields a spear-like cage; at times stabbing the enemy with it, at times imprisoning souls, at times summoning lightning, she is the fearsome ruler of the underworld. Having carried out her duties of administrating the underworld since birth, she is a goddess that disappeared along with the Age of Gods without ever knowing of the world above, or of freedom.

[Spoiler] In Fate/strange Fake, during the later battle against Ishtar, Ereshkigal manifested swiftly within Rin Toosaka from the Underworld, akin to how Ishtar manifested with Philia as a vessel, but for Ereshkigal's case, for only a few seconds. She was able to do so thanks to Enkidu linking Ishtar's flying temple to the earth with their chains, creating a bridge between the underworld and the heavens. Everyone present then noticed for a few seconds, Rin’s hair turned gold and her two eyes shone bright scarlet during this possession. Rin noted that this possession felt natural as if it had happened before. After Ishtar screamed the name of Ereshkigal, she wielded her Authority to shove the rising underworld into submission, refusing to let Ereshkigal's Underworld Authority affect her. [/Spoiler]
