Mutsuki wears a uniform shared with the second member of the Mutsuki-class, Kisaragi. She wears a school uniform-esque garment that is half-opened to expose her navel, with a green skirt and brown pantyhose.
Mutsuki serves somewhat as a sister/mother figurehead for the stubborn, reckless Fubuki and the airheaded, carefree Yuudachi.
[Spoiler] However, she, in turn, relied much on her sister ship Kisaragi for mental support, with the sinking of latter being too devastating for her. She, once again, became heartbroken when Kisaragi "came back" in the movie, only to realize that she would inevitably become one with the Abyssals, with the only way to get her back being to sink her when she became an Abyssal ship, which did not help her mental state much.
